In a conversation with C.J. Polychroniou, PERI Co-Director Gerald Epstein discusses the Public Banking Act and makes the case for public banking. He argues that along with promoting competition and financial stability, public banks can help fight poverty and racial discrimination and can support programs that address the critical issue of climate change.
