Paul’s research spans two areas: understanding the causes and consequences of inequality and assessing and designing remedies to address inequality, and the economics of deep decarbonization. He is the author of The Ends of Freedom: Reclaiming America’s Lost Promise of Economic Rights and his research and writing have appeared in many publications such as the New York Times, The Economist, Washington Post, and The Financial Times, among others.
