Grazielle Valentim

Research Assistant

Grazielle Valentim is a Ph.D. student in Sociology at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow. Her research bridges qualitative methods and policy analysis to examine labor, migration, and care work, with a focus on how federal and state regulations shape the experiences of au pairs in the U.S. She is a qualitative research consultant at the Institute for Social Science Research (ISSR), where she supports interdisciplinary projects across health, education, and equity.

At PERI, she collaborates with Dr. Nancy Folbre to curate and disseminate research, op-eds, and commentary on care work, care policy, and the political economy of care across multiple digital platforms.
