Eileen Appelbaum

Appelbaum is the author of the 2014 award-winning book Private Equity at Work: When Wall Street Manages Main Street, coauthored with Rosemary Batt. Appelbaum and Batt have a new book coming out in Fall 2026 from Princeton University Press, Healthcare in the Age of Finance Capital: Private Gain from Public Goods. Prior to joining CEPR, she held academic positions at Rutgers University and at Temple University.
