Celebrating the Life and Work of Jim Crotty (1938-2023)
Share
Jim Crotty was a beloved and revered Professor of Economics at the University of Massachusetts Amherst for 40 years and a founding senior researcher at PERI. He was a brilliant and innovative scholar, an extraordinarily generous mentor of graduate students and younger professors, a dedicated teacher of undergraduates, a stalwart progressive activist, as well as a father and grandfather, and a loving husband to Pamela.
To honor and celebrate Professor Crotty’s life and legacy, PERI is teaming with the Review of Radical Political Economy (RRPE) and the UMass Amherst Economics Dept. to convene a two-day conference, bringing together colleagues, students, and friends.
